It is the most wonderful time of the year! The 23rd Annual Green Race – ‘Obsessed’ is coming up quick and here is all the beta for this year’s big event. The ‘Greatest Show In All Of Sports’ can’t get here quick enough, so enjoy those practice laps, make your plans now to spectate and stay tuned here for all the insider action!

The big news!! We are having the first ever Green Race Festival this year Saturday night (Nov 3) down at Green River Paradise. Located just over a mile downstream from Fish Top access area at (3851 GREEN RIVER COVE ROAD SALUDA ,NC 28773) we will have awards, camping, a raffle for all attendees, food, beer, music and more! Spectators can park at the festival grounds and hike in to watch as well! This prime central location will bring racers and spectators together like never before. We are very excited about this! Cost $20.

Schedule of events:

Monday, Oct 29 – Friday, Nov 2: Practice releases on the river for racers from 7am – 3pm (operational schedules are determined daily).

Thursday, Nov 1: Pre-party at the Salvage Station (468 Riverside Dr, Asheville, NC 28801). Raffle ticket for everyone who comes, costume contest, video premieres, calcutta, music and more! $10 at the door.

Friday, Nov 2: Final Race Practice

Race Day Saturday, Nov 3:
8am – Green Race Festival Gates Open
9am – Racers have shuttle set and be at GRAF put-in lot by 9am. We have a lot of racers to check in so please be on time.

11am – Jason Hale gives the pre-race sermon.
12 pm – First racer starts
3 pm – Race ends
5 pm – Green Race Festival begins
